Great Mystery

Yesterday I finished a short book called She Can Run, by Melinda Leigh. This one was a love story that was full of mystery and confusion. It really kept my on my toes. The main chactor is in hiding from an abusive husband and her children and scared of all men. Through love and compation the man that they are living with for employment, a retired police officer, vows to help them through the battle. There is also a cray serial killer in the background of the front story. This on really keeps you on your toes and leaves you wanting more.

Deception, maybe?

Good afternoon friends! I read a short story yesterday called Justified Deceptions, by Patricia Watters. This one was a love story with a bit of mystery. The whole story revolves around a kidnapping of a little girl and results in a love to be reckoned with. I very much recommend this story.

Vampire saga..

I firmly believe that while I was reading and finishing this Vampire Love Story, that I had just stepped into vampire porn. The story line was very good, if we could have taken out the sexual content that took up more then 2/3 of the book. The science involved was awesome. No one has ever explored that point of view before that I have read. Learning about potions and herbs that made that vampire more human was most interesting. However being haunted in dream land from you maker was very different and really kind of freaky. The main charactors were explored thoroughly and that was nice to see with an author. As of late I have not read on that has embellished so well. It was so refreshing.

Vampires, yes I think so!

Today I am starting a new book called My Lady Vampire, by Sahara Kelly. This is book one in a three part series. So far I have noted that there is large sexual content. That is not what I expected from page one of the book. Has anyone out there read this book? Do you have any thoughts about it?
I am adding a picture of the cover from Amazon. That should be helpful if your interested in this read as well.

Finally Finished

I never thought it would happen friends, but I finally finished the book. The was really good. There was fighting with details, blood, pain, and feeling of being scared. The one main thing I did not understand was how the author could jump from one day to being two weeks into the future. The outcome of the book was completely unexpected also. I thought I knew who the killer was and boy was I wrong. Way to go to the author for a huge twist.

Hostile? Im not so sure

Hello friends, the reading continues on Hostile Witness. I am 85% done with this book and it is finally reached the climax and we are headed back down the other side. I am still a bit confused as to what is going on here. I am enjoying it more so than I was before. There is still so many unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered with the end of the book. Has anyone read this book? What are your thoughts about it?

Erotic??

Hello friends! Last night I decided to go ahead a read some more. I got completely enthralled into this book. I read the whole thing last night in about three hours. This one was called Love Me by Bella Andre. Its aimed for the over 18 crowd. There is a lot of vivid scenes of sexual content. But also, the author goes deep into the emotional needs of the two main characters. The author makes wonderful transitions between the male and female character. She completely pulled me into their lives and I truly felt the escape of living though the characters instead of what was going on in my own world.

Less than Thrilling

Welcome friends! I just read this lovely book called Retreat to Paradise by Carol Grace. The story is about a woman who had amnesia and if found by a sheep farmer. Its a love story with a very good story line. The author does not go into a lot of details and she has a tendency to switch from one characters thoughts to another without warning. That was a bit distracting. There was not a lot of details within the book either, such as what happens on the farm, the sights, smells, sunsets, or any of the like. Her charactors are well developed though and easy to connect with.

Waiting...

So I just reordered the latest book in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. This is by Laurell K Hamilton and I am so pumped to read it. Check out her site. You may like her stuff too. http://www.laurellkhamilton.org/
Welcome! My most recent read is called Michal's Window, by Rachelle Ayala. This was on the Amazon free book list and was recommended to me by one of my close friends. This book is set back in the times of the Bible. There are stories of Solomon, King David, and many other persons. The story line of this book follows the life of Michal. Michal is the daughter of King Saul and falls in love with David.
When I started reading this book I wasn't sure if I wanted to finish or to continue. But it is unlike me to not continue reading a book regardless. As I was reading I kept waiting for things to happen; excitement, daring, loss, love, all things that pull you into a book. I found that the author started on these things but did not complete them.  There was much loss but there was no details about how the loss happened. There was many battles but only one detailed scene.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to feel a closer since to the Lord. But I would not recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something to dive into and get lost.
